报告人简介：

Yasuo Tomita教授自1992年以来一直任职于日本电气通信大学工程科学系。他于1989年在美国加州理工学院获得博士学位，博士期间的研究方向是非线性光学相位共轭与多波混频。他目前的研究兴趣有光子学纳米复合材料和纳米结构材料、非线性光学、中子光学和信息光子学。他是美国光学学会、国际光学工程学会和日本应用物理学会会员。2015年起任《美国光学学会会志B》的副主编。

报告摘要：

The chemico-physical and statistical thermodynamic properties of holographic grating formation in photopolymerizable nanocomposite materials are discussed. Applications of nanocomposites to information photonics (holographic data storage, volume holographic optical elements), nonlinear optics (high-order optical nonlinearities) and neutron optics (holographic control of slow-neutron beams and their spin states) are also reviewed.
